OK, so things aren’t going as exactly planned….

I’ve now decided that I’m going on a personal exploration and as soon as I finish my yearly temp job at the tax firm downtown, I’m heading out. I haven’t decided where I’m going to just yet, but I plan on making a stop in Seattle to visit a friend of mine. I’m planning on seeing San Fransisco too, but I don’t really know where else I should go. I’m going to fly instead of drive, and I plan on being gone for the entire month of May. Well, unless I run out of money or I just get too homesick.

This is something I need to do before I die. Hopefully if all goes well, then maybe next year I can go to Europe, but for now I’m going to dream small….more locally. I may wind up in Puerto Rico at some point however….

Well, this is the start of my travelogue. Hopefully now it’ll feel more “Official.”

I always have such a hard time following through with anything, so I hoping this will act as a good support group and a great motivator for me. I’ve been daydreaming about doing something like this for many, many years and I’m finally going to make it a reality. Of course, when I dream about this, I’m actually leaving town on a whim with very little planning and no real intention of coming back, but I’m more of an adult now and I have responsibilities to come home to, so some planning will be required.

Plus, I think I’ve just filled my head with romanticized versions of being on the road, much like Jack Kerouac, without a care in the world. I know this is not the reality, but I still feel as though I need to actually experience it, at least once, before I die. Might as well do it now before I get saddled down with school.
